Xsite Lane End's Details

The Site: I've been a regular on this site for around 2 years. The venue is mixed woodland on the site of an old clay pit so there is some great variation of terrain in the wood. The site also boasts some good site buildings including a well designed 'kill house', police station and Vietnam village. The site is multi-functional, also running paintball and laser quest games separately. The Games: are generally run on relatively constrained game areas with games running between 30mins and 1 hour although they do run larger and longer games,. Games are generally reversed before returning to the safe area. Typically days include 10 games with formats including attack/ defend, elimination, pilot games, 'Rourke's drift' type games. Most games are pretty frenetic with re-spawn in use for attacking teams. Staff: Marshals are friendly and approachable and know the site well. First aiders are on the team and their is a well stocked on site shop with repair facilities. Safe Zone: A well constructed and established safe zone with wooden covered areas, tables and lighting. Battery charging facilities are also available in the safe zone. Lunch is included in game fee and usually comprises sausage and chips, burger, lasagne (I think) among others - and a vegetarian option. Players: This site attracts a mix of hire players and walk-ons. Numbers are typically around 60-80 players. They also run young gun days and evening games together with week day games during school holidays. There are plenty of regular players that know the site well and the site has a relaxed feel about it - so don't be afraid to ask for help/ advice from the players or the staff. Hire guns are well maintained G36 with hi-cap magazines.

I have played at xsite on 4 occasions and I haven't been disappointed once! The staff (especially the marshal's) are a laugh and the staff are also friendly and helpful. The community as a whole is helpful and on many occasions people have let me borrow their pistol when my gun had failed or I was out of ammo.
